Almost certainly, every team has its own “bad boy” and he could be Bremen’s very own counterpart – Aaron Hunt.

Both German and English, Hunt is qualified to play for German teams as well as England teams. He now plays forward in SV Werder Bremen but sometimes assumes the midfield attacker and the winger positions.

At first, Hunt was only a part of the reserve team. After the team won the double, he got into the first team as a substitute player. His very first starting line-up appearance was in a match against Borussia Monchengladbach. He even became the team’s youngest goal scorer at a young age of 18 – only after 161 days from the day of his recruitment.

In 2006, Hunt’s career declined after getting a knee injury which was discovered later on as bursitis. Consequently, he missed the rest of the season due to this. Regardless of his bad performance, the team renewed his contract near the end of the year. He now exerted more effort in his craft and achieved more than his previous performances. His career reached to a peak in the 2007-2008 season after having nine (9) goals at the end of the term.

Hunt did have some serious behaviour issues and these transpired in the UEFA U-21s 2006 after lashing out racist remarks against the England team.
