Both German and English, Hunt is qualified to play for German teams as well as England teams. He now plays forward in SV Werder Bremen but sometimes assumes the midfield attacker and the winger positions.
At first, Hunt was only a part of the reserve team. After the team won the double, he got into the first team as a substitute player. His very first starting line-up appearance was in a match against Borussia Monchengladbach. He even became the team’s youngest goal scorer at a young age of 18 – only after 161 days from the day of his recruitment.
In 2006, Hunt’s career declined after getting a knee injury which was discovered later on as bursitis. Consequently, he missed the rest of the season due to this.
